Positive: The apartments are renovated and functional, and most importantly, very well located!
Negative: We had high hopes for our stay, but our first evening was marred by an unexpected issue with the apartment we booked. Upon arrival, we were given a different apartment and were initially told there was a problem with the bathroom. When we pointed out that the new apartment didn’t meet the standards we expected and lacked a living room, the story changed, and we were informed that we could move to the correct apartment the next day after some kitchen repairs were completed. To clarify, there was no miscommunication on our part as my partner is Italian, and all exchanges were conducted in Italian. This left us with the impression that our original apartment might have been rented to someone else. The first apartment they gave us, which I did not book, had a kitchen with no window, and, most importantly, we found a woman’s underwear in the closet (I have photos), which added to our discomfort. On the positive side, the management did make an effort to accommodate my need for a workspace by allowing me to use another apartment for an important video call the next morning, and they were friendly after the initial issue. However, having to change apartments during a two-night stay is far from ideal and took away from our time to discover the region. Overall, the new apartment was nice, but the mix-up and the way it was handled unfortunately cast a shadow over our stay.
