Positive: The resort is new, renovated and expanded, and it really shows. Everything looks fresh and modern, and overall it gives you that 5-star feel, even if it’s not quite on the level of Turkey. For Bulgaria though, it’s one of the best options, and the value for money is hard to beat. The food was excellent — always varied, tasty, and the desserts were fantastic. There are plenty of bars, and when you get a good bartender the cocktails are really great. Pools are another strong point: the outside ones are well maintained, the spa with sauna, jacuzzi and indoor heated pool is very relaxing, and the infinity pool on the 12th floor was one of the highlights of the whole trip. My room was spotless, cleaned as often as I wanted, and felt very comfortable.

Negative: The main downsides for me were practical things: the elevators were slow and crowded at peak hours, and parking is a headache — unless you’re lucky on the street, you have to use the paid parking 15 minutes away. Also, there aren’t enough sunbeds at the beach or pool, and there’s no service on the beach, which feels like a missed opportunity. Entertainment was more for kids, although at level 12 there was music and shows if you wanted something livelier. Personally, I would’ve liked some background music at the pool, but others might prefer the peace and quiet. Small details like weak Wi-Fi, a TV that doesn’t connect to internet, or them forgetting to replace the shower gel don’t really change the experience.
