Das im März 2019 renovierte Studio-Apartment mit traumhaftem Ausblick auf den Hausberg Kampenwand liegt im zweiten Stock von "Haus Burg" und ist über einen Lift erreichbar, dem denkmalgeschützten, ehemaligen Gästehaus des Schlosses Hohenaschau. Es ist gemütlich eingerichtet mit alpinem Charme und Liebe zum Detail. Der große Süd-Ost-Balkon lädt zum Träumen in die Bergwelt ein. Die Ferienwohnung liegt im Ortsteil Hohenaschau direkt unterhalb des Schlosses. Zur Talstation der Kampenwand-Bahn sind es wenige Schritte zu Fuß. Die Hauptattraktion von Aschau ist die Kampenwand. Sie ist bequem bei Gondel aber auch auf Schusters Rappen zu bezwingen. Das weiträumige Gipfelplateau lädt zu Wanderungen verschiedenster Schwierigkeitsgrade als auch zu Spaziergängen ein. Die Aussicht ist einfach grandios. Man schaut hinunter auf den Chiemsee oder lässt den Blick weit über die Berggipfel schweifen. Verschiedene Almen laden zur Stärkung ein. Der Chiemsee mit der Frauen- und Herreninsel, die das Schloss Herrenchiemsee, erbaut von Ludwig II, unternehmen. Die nähere Umgebung lädt zu Wanderungen aller Schwierigkeiten oder zu gemütlichen Spaziergängen entlang des Bankerl-Weges. Aschau ist Sommers und Winters ein guter Ausgangspunkt für Touren ins nähere alpine Umland, zum Beispiel nach Reit im Winkl mit der berühmten Winklmoos Alm und zum Zahmen Kaiser. Das nur 12 km entfernte Sachrang ist für seine Wander- und Bergsteigerrouten sowie im Winter für seine ausgedehnten Loipen bekannt. München und Salzburg sind in einer Autostunde zu erreichen.
