Summary: We had a great time at Kate's house.The home was really neat, built in late 1800's & has been remodeled recently. There was plenty of parking. It was nicely stocked with all the essentials & a few extras. I really liked USB chargers in nightstand lamps though in bedroom with two beds USB ports were broken (not a big deal). The kitchen seemed like it had all the essentials. The pool table was a great bonus, my boys really enjoyed it. Marietta seems like a cool little town and felt safe for the most part. There seemed to be some sketchy neighbors across the street a few doors down but otherwise a cool old downtown area. We had the pleasure of meeting the neighbor next door, she was a really nice lady. There was a cute little coffee shop a walking distance from the house with really good coffee, where we happen to run into an old town Mayor. One thing I would like to mention is the town has an all volunteer fire department which utilizes and old way of calling volunteers to duty. One of the four nights we stayed there, we were woken up at 4am, and then twice more by an air raid siren. I have to say it caught me by surprise in the middle of the night mainly because I couldn't understand what was happening. I had to call the non-emergency police line to find out what was going on. If this was something I was expecting it wouldn't have been so noteworthy, but I guess I should have suspected something since every drawer in the house had lots of earplugs. Overall a fun stay.
