This expansive four bedroom residence provides approximately 6,000 square feet of living space and was completed in late 2016. It features two bedrooms with king-size beds, two bedrooms with two double beds each, as well as four and a half bathrooms and two Jacuzzi tubs. It also includes a gourmet kitchen with oven, breakfast bar, large dining table for 10 people, living room and five LCD TVs. The outdoor living space is comprised of two terraces with a plunge pool and outdoor dining area. Amenities include free access to acres of pools, Beach Club, spa and fitness center, tennis courts, Nicklaus-designed 18-hole golf course and an array of fine and casual dining. Golf and spa packages are available. Also on-site at the resort is a spectacular theater complex that houses Joya, a permanent Cirque du Soleil production that features a unique dining experience and show unlike any other in the world.
In Summer 2019, Vidanta opened Jungala - a boutique, luxury waterpark that features thrilling state-of-the-art waterslides, the longest lazy river in Latin America, an interactive play area for kids, and incredible food and beverage options in a gorgeous, natural setting on the resort property.
The Vidanta resort experience is one centered around exclusivity and personal space with very low density and some of the most square footage per person of any resort in Mexico or in the world. Summary: We enjoyed our stay at the Grand Luxxe. The unit is on the ground floor of building four. It doesn’t have any views, but it was very spacious and had all we needed. It is a 10-15 minute walk to the beach. The overall Vidanta resort is huge, which has its advantages in that there are a lot of options for food, pools and activities. The downside is that you end up walking long distances or taking a web of golf carts to get anywhere, and they don’t make it easy to leave the resort. None of the restaurants were particularly great but all were decent enough. The beach is nice and not crowded, with quick food and drink service. But the beach is rocky so you will do the swimming in the pools instead. All the staff were very nice and accomodating. They double charged us at check out and haven’t been responsive enough in fixing their mistake. Overall a good experience.
