Summary: The location was the most positive thing about the property. Beautiful view and ocean front benefits were appreciated. The most negative elements of Emerald Beach was the condition of the unit. You would think that being charged a cleaning fee of one day’s rental would guarantee a clean unit… you would be wrong. The dishes were dirty and had to be washed prior to use; the countertops were gritty; rusted plumbing fixtures; filthy furniture which required covering with extra bedding just to sit on. On our last full day, the kitchen sink backed up and even though a plumber came promptly, he couldn’t resolve it because the blockage was in the wall. Nice plumber but not a good situation for renters needing to prepare dinner and breakfast the next morning before checking out. We stayed here many years ago and really enjoyed it but will choose a different property next time.
