Sobre Los Mares is a beautiful, bright villa just a few minutes walk from the magnificent beach of Atlanterra. This spacious holiday home in the bay of Atlanterra can accommodate 6-8 people.
If you like sitting outdoors, you will find that Sobre los mares is a peaceful refuge set within beautiful surroundings, overlooking the ocean all the way to the north coast of Africa. Adjacent to the house lies the large kidney shaped swimming pool surrounded by a very well kept 2000 m2 mediterranean garden.
The house boosts tremendous views from almost everywhere and you will find a well equipped kitchen, 4 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms. When dining in the covered patio and overlooking the Atlantic ocean will enchant you. The house also features WIFI and a few international TV channels.
It is rare to find a spot like Atlanterra anywhere on the planet, yet due to its sustainable planning even in August the beaches are not crowded and the environment is unique. Those who like water sports can practice, Surfing, windsurfing, Kitesurfing, snorkeling and many other outdoors activities here.
.. Also hikers, and mountain bikers get their moneys worth. Some decent scenic walks and mountain bike trails can be started directly from the house. The village of Zahara de los Atunes is approximately 5km further and offers a variety of boutiques, supermarkets, newspaper and coffee places as well as excellent cuisine in over 50 restaurants.
In the summer live concerts are held in the beach bars called chiringuitos and those who like night life, can enjoy the small typical bars, drinks and music.

Summary: This lovely villa set in a gorgeous private garden has a beautiful pool, overlooks the ocean and is located in an upscale area. It is a short walk to a very nice wide quiet beach. There are quite a few steps down to the beach but don’t be deterred, we are in our mid sixties and made it to the bottom and back easily. One thing I would mention is that the layout of the villa is not clear from the website description. A double bedroom (two twins pushed together) and a small single/twin bedroom are located in the main villa. To get to the bathroom you have to walk down a corridor past the doorless archway to the main bedroom, which may be a privacy issue for some. The other double bedroom, twin bedroom and bathroom are located in an attached but totally separate apartment. This set up is ideal for two couples or two families with young children vacationing together. I was a little concerned about making the second payment via wire transfer, and not by credit card through the VRBO website. However, there was no need for concern, Zahara Villas, the managing agents are professional, efficient and very helpful. Sober los Mares is a wonderful place to relax.
