The Boathouse is situated in Seasalter Whitstable. It is set within the grounds of Driftwood Beach House B&B with the beach just a stone's throw at the front, and the Alberta RSPB nature reserve to the rear.
This is the perfect home to bring your family, friends, or loved one to enjoy the stunning seaside views. We're also a short drive from the ever impressive Whitstable Town Center, home to restaurants, pubs and charming boutiques alike. We're also down the road from The Sportsman - UK Restaurant Of The Year 2 years running!
We have taken a great deal of time to make the Boathouse a truly unique and memorable home to stay in for all of our guests.
The ground floor comprises large shower/wet room crafted by a local builder/artist and using up-cycled materials, including Welsh slate and marble. The bathroom window came from a church house in Canterbury, and is believed to be over two hundred years old!
Also on the ground floor is the spacious fully fitted kitchen, with everything you'll need whether staying two nights or two weeks. Access the first floor via the spiral staircase which came from a penthouse in east London's Docklands. Up on the first floor is the open plan living /dining /sleeping space, with sea views out of every window, and the oak wooden flooring throughout the space came from Selfridges in Oxford street London.
The room is divided into the living area, which has a large corner sofa bed, coffee table and smart TV, benefiting from fibre optic broadband and the dining area, with vintage Ercol dining table and sideboard, and sleeping area with king size bed and two sleeping pods set into the eves of the roof, that are accessed by ladders. Suitable for older children and adults.
Step out onto private decked area with dining table and loungers and enjoy views over the RSPB nature reserve and the sea.
