Enjoy a taste of ranch life in this modernized 1938 home. Located on a large, peaceful lot in downtown Prineville, guests can walk to many amenities. The picture windows offer a view of colorful sunsets, deer and quail from both the covered porch and the living room. Comfortably furnished and tastefully decorated, this home reminds guests of the cowboy lifestyle of yesteryear. Conveniences include kitchen appliances, dishwasher, WiFi, smart TV, Blue Ray/DVD player, fans, and ample parking. House Rules:
No events. Pets allowed on case-by-case basis. Gate and lockbox codes are located in the check in instructions. Contact owner for furnace, electric heater, water, hot water heater, television and other instructions.
Upon arrival:
- Get house keys from lockbox on front porch
- Return keys to lockbox immediately and scramble the lock
- Take off hard soled, high heels or dirty shoes before entering house
- Leave dirty gear on front porch
- Turn furnace to about 68; off in summer
- Do not roll luggage on floors
- Eat and drink in kitchen/dining area only
- No smoking
- Do not use candles
- No sleeping in bonus room/garage
- do not use washing machine and dryer
- drinking water available in bottle stand (buy more at bi-mart return bottle for discount). Well water is filtered and has been tested and is potable.
- Turn on fan while showering then turn off
- Plug in kitchen appliances if needed
- Bedroom windows cannot be opened
Upon departure:
- Rinse and place dirty dishes in dishwasher or wash and put away dishes
- Place used towels in dirty clothes hamper in bathroom
- Remove all food from refrigerator
- Turn furnace heat down to 52 (not off)
- Turn off electric heaters in bedrooms
- Unplug kitchen appliances
- Make sure stove turned completely off
- Turn off all lights
- Be sure all windows and doors are securely closed and locked
- Garbage cans must be on Laughlin road by mailbox by 5 am on Monday or Sunday night weekly. There are two cans - one is for recycling which is collected every other week. To learn what can be recycled, go to:

Please leave the house the way you found it. Owner will: wash bed linens & make beds, wash kitchen and bath towels, mop and vacuum floors, and clean bathroom and kitchen.

* There is no garbage disposal so keep heavy oils and food from going into kitchen drain; keep metal drain filter in place at all times to prevent clogged pipes - if guests clog pipes, they will be responsible for paying the plumbing bill
* Plumbing is old so flush only very small amounts of toilet paper to prevent clogged pipes
* Keep children away from well in front of house and do not open it (it is locked)
* Fire extinguisher located under kitchen sink
* First aid items are in bathroom
