Summary: If you need 5-star accommodations, this is not for you. BUT... if you want to feel like a LOCAL, you have a sense of ADVENTURE, and you are FLEXIBLE in your approach to vacation homes...then this is the perfect place for your family. We really enjoyed our stay here! It was right around the corner from the main square with a little food shop, café, and bakery within a stones throw. All four of us had our own bed - 3 of them on the 3rd level and one of them snuggled in the corner of the living room. The kitchen and dining are on the 2nd floor, so that's where most of our limited time inside together was spent. It was a bit chilly - as it would be in most stone houses in the mountains of mallorca - but the gas heater and mobile electric heater helped. Once you get snuggled in the beds for the evening, though, all is warm and cozy for the night. When in Mallorca, one shouldn't be inside too much of the day, anyway! Things to be flexible about: The thumping on the other side of the wall every morning (we think it was the butcher at the back of the food shop around the corner), and the kids running footsteps house attached to another wall. One shouldn't be in bed too late anyway ;) Things that were beyond our expectation: The location. The location. The location! We had a rental car, so it was the perfect point from which to explore the mountains, Palma, and the bays on the opposite side of the island. The size was good. We were four, and were never crowded. The charm is exactly as shown in the photos. The neighborhood cats were friendly. The soft sound of the church bells every 15 min helped mark time once you figured out 1 ding for every 15 min. The rooftop seating area was a nice way to start the day and look up at this clouds skimming the top of the nearby mountains. And there are free oranges to be had everywhere! And the house has a juicer, so it was the perfect combo. We highly recommend it - real living among real locals!
