One free outdoor parking space is included with this rental. The parking lot is shared with other residents of the surrounding homes.
A car or moped is recommended for getting around but not necessary. Taxis and other transportation are readily available. We're happy to refer you to moped rentals and taxi drivers. The town of Puerto Angel is accessible by foot but please note that the walk is steep (downhill into town, uphill to come back).
In Puerto Angel you can find all of your basic needs: pharmacies, grocery stores, and restaurants. However, the nearest ATM machine and banks are in the town of San Pedro Pochutla, about 15-20 minutes away by car. Most local businesses accept cash only.
Puerto Angel has several beautiful small bays for swimming, snorkeling, diving and taking boat tours (Playa del Panteón, Estacahuite, La Boquilla to name a few). Five minutes away by car is the town of Zipolite with its many beachfront bars and restaurants and hippie vibe. Past Zipolite, about 15 minutes by car from Puerto Angel, are the towns of San Agustinillo and Mazunte.
Huatulco Airport is about a 45 minute drive away. Puerto Escondido is about an hour drive away.

-There is no hot water (it's a very hot climate year-round, with slightly cooler evenings in the dry season - winter - and very brief periods of cooler temps when it rains).
-Smoking is allowed outdoors only (the patio is very large and with a beautiful view ;)).
-Wildlife abounds on this lush coast; screens on all doors + windows keep most of it out, but some tolerance is recommended.
-There is a lower level to the property (with separate entrance and exterior stairs) that shares the entrance footbridge outside.
