2 Bedroom House with Pool, TV and Balcony

The Finca Vista Tramuntana consists of two buildings that are on the same property. The main house offers 120sqm of living space, not including the 80sqm covered terrace with a fantastic view. The large living and dining room with open kitchen and fireplace offers a cozy atmosphere in the winter months, a very stylish, comfortable and cozy atmosphere. The house has 2 bathrooms with bath as well as two bedrooms, one of which is equipped with an additional Schlafempore / nische, this is accessible by stairs, there are with a great view from the window over the island. The gallery is not completely separated from the other bedroom. The kitchen is equipped with all modern facilities; 4 burner gas hob, hood, convection, grill and microwave combination and dishwasher. Washing machine is also available. Of course, you do not have to do without satellite TV, CD and radio.
The pool is to say a community pool as the small casita located on the same property can also be rented separately.

Summary: My family and I spent a week at the Finca Vista Tramuntana and we thoroughly enjoyed it. The Finca is quite remote, about a 10 minute drive from Petra, and is very peaceful. It has a lovely vista of the Sierra Tramuntana which is at its best early in the morning. There is a large veranda at the rear of the house with a large table and chairs making it the perfect place for meals. The house is comfortable with two good size bedrooms and ensuite bathrooms. The kitchen area is well equipped and there is also a small bbq to provide further cooking options. The pool, which you share with the guests from the casita, is of a good size and has roman steps at one end. The nearest big supermarkets are in Manacor although Petra has one or two small ones. There are some nice places to eat and drink in Petra (Es Celler is worth a visit) or in Manacor (try Bar Mingo for a no frills feast of good quality food). The nearest beach is up at Can Picafort and is about a 35 minute drive. It is a very touristy area but the beach is clean and the water is a beautiful turquoise colour. Jorg, the owner, met us on arrival and checked us out. He answered all our questions via email before we arrived and gave us some additional bits of information when we met him. He made the whole process very smooth. I should point out that Mallorca charge a tourist tax which you need to pay in cash on arrival. This is not detailed on the Finca's page on HomeAway (in fact it doesn't seem to be on any of the HomeAway pages for Mallorca accommodation that I looked at). This however was the only blemish on an otherwise very enjoyable holiday.
