A beautifully landscaped yard, a large private swimming pool, a spacious back patio, and a wonderful screened porch give this property privacy and plenty of gathering space for large groups. The Stop 41 1/2 beach access point is a leisurely stroll down a quiet side road, with all that Harbor Country has to offer - art galleries, shops, restaurants, and wineries - just beyond.
The charming main house, a log home built in 1935, has been carefully updated with a contemporary, casual approach to elegance. New furniture, new lighting, and a multitude of windows combine to give this home a bright and open feel. Enter through the front door to the dining area, which features a large wooden table with seating for eight. Beyond the dining room is the updated kitchen, which has an expansive island with seating for five, additional seating along a bank of wall-to-wall windows, and ample space for guests to gather during food prep and meal times. Adjacent to the dining area is the living area, featuring comfortable seating around the original field stone fireplace, vaulted ceilings, and another bank of windows that let in the natural light. Also on the main level are a main bedroom with lofty ceilings, a queen-size bed, and an en suite bathroom with a deluxe step-in shower, as well as a second large bedroom with a queen-size bed and an additional hall bathroom with a shower. The second level of the main house offers two more bedrooms with custom, built-in twin bunk beds, a shared guest bathroom, and views of the pool, patio, and backyard. You'll find the washer/dryer for the main house on the basement level.
Over in the recently remodeled, two-level guest house, you'll find an open-concept kitchen/living/dining area with high ceilings, as well as French doors and sliding doors with a prime view of the patio and pool. Also on the main level are a fully equipped kitchen with island seating for six, a living area with a TV, a full bathroom, and laundry facilities. The upper level has two more bedrooms - one with three twin beds and one with a queen and two twins - and a full bathroom, along with a large loft space that sports a king-size Murphy bed overlooking the living/dining room.
Enjoy gathering with your loved ones in the beautiful, screened porch, which is is situated between the main house and the guest house and overlooks the heated swimming pool, or spend your days relaxing on one of the many lounge chairs surrounding the pool. The beach is also just a short walk away, with an assortment of beach toys, beach chairs, and a pull cart waiting in the garage. If you're looking for even more entertainment, Michigan City and New Buffalo are a short drive away, offering plenty of restaurants, shops, and parks as well.

The pool will be heated to 80 degrees prior to your arrival. If you wish for the heat to increase, please contact us after you secure your booking. The cost for additional pool heat is $25/night.
Cancellation for this home must be 60 days prior to arrival.

Parking notes: The home has a driveway that allows for six vehicles. Please do not park on the grass or the street.
Damage waiver: The total cost of your reservation for this Property includes a nightly damage waiver fee, plus tax if applicable (the “Damage Waiver”). (A discount may be applied for stays of 28 nights or longer, if permitted.) The Damage Waiver covers you for up to $3,000 of accidental damage to the Property or its contents (such as furniture, fixtures, and appliances) as long as you report the incident to the host prior to checking out. The Damage Waiver fee eliminates the need for a traditional security deposit.
