“Bear Paw Den” is a private and beautiful 4 bedroom, 4.5 bathroom cabin with breathtaking views, beautifully furnished, HOT TUB, elevator, outdoor wood fire pit (wood not provided), high speed WI-FI, Air Condition, gas fireplace (seasonal), ping pong game table, corn hole, board games, gas grill, and all paved access. We are situated over 4,200 ft in elevation for those cool summer days. Located in Seven Devils, which is centrally located between Boone and Banner Elk. Each bedroom has their own private bathroom (En Suite)! Parking for up to 4 vehicles. We strongly recommend 4WD/AWD with good snow tires during the winter months. We also offer plenty of privacy with no other home in site!
Well-behaved and trained family pets (dogs only) are welcome with management approval, maximum of 2 dogs, has a pet privilege fee of $100 plus tax per dog. We do offer a pet waste station with doggie waste bags and a small trash can for your convenience. All pet owners are required to clean up after their dog’s waste and dispose of it in the proper waste container.
Main Floor: On the main floor, you’ll find plenty of room for everyone! The spacious and fully stocked kitchen offers a regular coffee maker, fridge, dishwasher and most everything you need to prepare your favorite meal. There is also a crock pot!
There is a formal dining room, located just off of the kitchen, for your friends and family to gather and have a meal together for up to 8 guests. Next to the kitchen is a sitting area/den with a gas fireplace (operational from Oct. 1 - April 1). This is a great spot to curl up next to the warmth of the fireplace (seasonal) and read your favorite book or take a much needed nap!
Just down the hallway from the kitchen is the only bedroom on the main floor. It has a queen size bed, Roku TV and a private En Suite full bathroom with tub/shower combo.
There is a half bathroom next to the den for your convenience. The full size washer and dryer is also on the main level.
On the other side of the home is the formal living room with comfortable seating and large 65” Roku TV to watch your favorite streaming app (using your own login).
We are certain everyone will enjoy our large family/game room with mostly all windows to view and take in the beauty of the High Country. This large and spacious room offers a nice sectional sofa, ping pong table, board games, game table, Amazon Fire Stick TV, corn hole and access to the deck. This room is located next to the den.
There are approximately 25 steps from the parking area to the main floor door. However, for your convenience, there is a small elevator for you to use to carry your luggage and groceries into the home. There is a large oversized garage you can use to park up to 2 vehicles in. You can take the elevator from the garage up to the main floor. The elevator is professionally inspected at least twice a year for your safety.
The upper covered deck has plenty of seating to take in the beautiful views of Grandfather Mountain. There is also a gas grill on the main level deck for your grilling needs.
The 5 person hot tub is located on the lower deck with views of Grandfather Mountain. We also will allow parking inside the garage, up to 3 vehicles. You can access the elevator to get to the main floor from the garage for your convenience to carry your luggage and/or groceries.
Upper Level: The upper level features 3 additional bedrooms and bathrooms. Bedroom #2 has a queen bed, Roku TV and private En Suite full bathroom. Bedroom #3 has 2 twin beds, Roku TV and your private En Suite full bathroom. Bedroom #4 boasts a king size bed, Roku TV, private En Suite bathroom with shower and another room with a jetted tub.
Outside: Enjoy spending time around our beautiful fire pit (wood not provided), take in that fresh mountain air and listen to the sounds of nature. The hot tub is on the lower deck with access from the upper deck. The roads are all paved to our home which makes for a great stroll, walk your dog or to take in some fresh mountain air. There is plenty of privacy and room to wander while staying at “Bear Paw Den”.

Location: “Bear Paw Den” is centrally located in Seven Devils, near Hawksnest Snow Tubing and Ziplining is 1.5 miles, Otter Falls (hiking trails with waterfalls) is 0.5 mile, Peak Mountain Trail, which is behind our property, Sugar Mountain Ski Resort is less than 7 miles away; Beech Mountain Ski Resort is less than 15 miles; Appalachian Ski Mountain is 16 miles; Greater Foscoe Mining Company (gem mining) is less than 4 miles; Grandfather Trout Farm is approximately 2 miles; Grandfather Vineyard & Winery is 2.5 miles; Wilderness Run Alpine Coaster is 6.5 miles; Tweetsie Railroad is less than 30 minutes away; Holmes Convocation Center/ASU Campus is 12.5 miles; Blowing Rock is about a 30 minute drive and Grandfather Mountain is a 30 minute drive away. We are located within 45 minutes of most of the popular attractions.

As you plan your trip to the mountains, please remember we do get rain, snow, and some foggy days with occasional inconveniences which are out of our control. Winter weather in the Blue Ridge Mountains can occur from November through April. The majority of our homes are accessed by mountain roads, which will be icy in winter weather. For the safety of you and your party, please be prepared to drive in snow and ice. This means 4-wheel drive, good tires, and chains. It is YOUR responsibility to be prepared for hazardous road conditions. There will be NO refunds, allowances, or date changes resulting from your negligence in this matter.
