The road rambles through undisturbed Southern woods and past the wide waters of the Little Lagoon before opening to a dramatic northern vista where Mobile Bay meets Bon Secour Bay. Bama Beach Dreams is located in Surfside Shores, a lovely coastal community on the Fort Morgan peninsula, approximately 14 miles west of Gulf Shores on State Highway 180 (Fort Morgan Road). This beach community is near both top-rated golf courses on the island, The Peninsula and Kiva Dunes.
Bama Beach Dreams has a spacious floor plan. The master king bedroom is on the main level of the home, along with the laundry room, living room, dining room, kitchen, and access to the back deck. No stairs are required to enter the home, making it easily accessible for all. One set of interior stairs leads to the two upstairs bedrooms, housing a queen bed and three sets of twin bunk beds; the bedrooms are connected by a Jack-and-Jill three-piece bath. The back deck leads to a huge fenced-in yard, which is perfect for active families.
Bama Beach Dreams can accommodate up to 10 guests comfortably, utilizing one king bed, one queen bed, and three sets of twin bunk beds. We do not offer sleeper sofas. The interior living space is 1,711 square feet.
The front door is on the north side of the home. There is a lockbox by the door. Guests will be given the access code to the lockbox prior to their arrival.
Upon entry into the home, guests are greeted by a bright and airy living and dining space. This open-concept layout is perfect for entertaining friends and family. The living room has two cushy sofas, perfect for getting cozy in the evening with family cosying up with family while watching a movie on the flat-screen smart television. Bama Beach Dreams does offer cable. We have black-out curtains on the sliding doors for rainy days when guests want to stay in and watch a movie.
The dining room is lit by the natural light from the large sliders that run across the east side of Bama Beach Dreams. The television can also be seen from the dining room, which comes in handy on game day. The dining table seats six to eight guests. There is additional seating for dining on the back deck. Both areas are perfect for eating dinner or playing games with the family. Guests are to sign in to their own app accounts and are responsible for signing out upon departure.
The kitchen is fully stocked with more than the basics; pots and pans, a drip coffee pot, a K-cup coffee maker, a tea kettle, and ample utensils. If we have not stocked an item that is needed, please let us know. Please note that the home will occasionally have coffee, sugar, creamers, salt, pepper, and olive oil. However, we do not stock these items. Guests can snag these items from Sassy Bass Market, which is within two miles of the house.
The master bedroom can be found on the northwest side of the main floor of the home. It has a chest of drawers, open closet space for storing luggage, two nightstands with reading lamps, a ceiling fan, and a flat-screen smart television with cable access. The master bathroom has two entrances: one from the master bedroom and one from the living room. This three-piece bath has a walk-in shower with a glass partition, single vanity, and loo.
There is a full-size washer and dryer for guests to use in the laundry room. Although we offer a starter pack of laundry detergent, guests should always supply their own detergent for extended stays.
The interior stairs are located on the south side of the dining room. These stairs lead to a hallway with access to two bedrooms and a full bath. This spacious Jack-n-Jill bath has double sinks and a large shower/tub combo. It is shared between the queen guest bedroom and the bunk guest bedroom.
The upstairs queen guest bedroom can be found on the southwest corner of the home. This bedroom has a queen bed, two nightstands with reading lamps, a ceiling fan, black-out curtains, a chest of drawers, and a closet for storing luggage.
The bunk room is located on the northwest corner of the house. It has three sets of bunks (for a total of six twin beds), a dresser, a nightstand with a reading lamp, a ceiling fan, and a walk-in closet for storing luggage.
Bama Beach Dreams has a Weber charcoal grill. Guests are responsible for bringing all of their BBQ supplies. Please pull the grill out from under the house before grilling.
Our beaches are quiet and not publicly accessible. Although downtown Gulf Shores is 20 minutes away, there are plenty of places to eat and have fun on our side of the island. We have a detailed list of bars, restaurants, and grocery stores in our digital guidebook.
