Very close to the city centre, this spacious apartment is perfect for the guests that wish to stay in the centre of all action.
In the surroundings, you will find all the facilities you need, such as shops, cafés, gas stations and even private clinics. At only a few meters from the apartment, going towards the city centre, you will find the Santa Luzia park with a lovely café, children’s playground and an inviting garden.
In the north direction, you will find a supermarket, a few stores and a pizza restaurant. Very close to it we have the high way that gives you the chance to explore all the must visit points all over the Island such as Ponta de São Lourenço, Santana, Calheta and much more.
If you keep going up, in about 10 minutes drive, you will reach the famous Monte area. Here you have the emblematic Nossa Senhora do Monte church, known as the patroness of the island. Just in front of it you have the unique wickerwork basket rides, known in portuguese as “carreiros” or “carros de cesto”. These rides are unique from this area and are only suitable for the braver souls that do not fear a 2 km ride down the hill with no seatbelt.
Nevertheless, before this ride, you should not lose the opportunity to visit the Tropical Garden in Monte Palace that is definitely a must visit for anyone that comes to Madeira.
