Reclusive cottage in back of 100 acre farm yet only a few miles to downtown swansboro and 8 1/2 miles to the beaches of Emerald Isle. Cute cottage right on Howard Mill creek. Perfect for kayaks and paddle boards. With that being said you may run across an alligator or two. Porch swings, rocking chairs, record player with several albums to choose from, a book nook for the avid reader to enjoy. Twinkle lights throughout the yard for a setting straight out of sweet home Alabama. Coffee on the porch and listening to the birds sing and a quiet peacefulness to get you away from all the busyness of the world. A true gem of a place to slow down. Summary: We cannot thank you enough for sharing your little slice of heaven with us!! It was so peaceful, quiet and the natural surroundings of birds watching and chirping from the quaint porch was amazing! And total seclusion on a beautiful creek! We drove the SUV, but I'm certain a car can make it fine, just a few bumps on the ride up to the cabin but so totally worth it to have the scenery and seclusion we did. Inside the decor is amazing, super nice linens and towels, fully equipped kitchen with everything you could need. Even a record player with an assortment of albums! Although we wanted to be away from everything we did have Wifi and just a short drive to downtown Swansboro to enjoy the waterfront and breakfast at Yana's (the fruit fritters are out of this world good!) We will definitely be back! Again, thank you Corky for the best weekend we have had in a while. The serenity here is amazing and it was nice to be away from all the busy in our lives :)
