Pen Bont Home Farm is a superb farmhouse on a working stock farm that has been renovated to a very high standard in 2021, situated between Brecon and Builth Wells. Approx. 10 miles to each town, also a perfect location for those visiting the Royal Welsh Showground. The property consists of open plan kitchen and dining area with underfloor heating, Aga, American fridge freezer, microwave, coffee machine, dishwasher, leading into the large lounge with underfloor heating, remote control lighting, fabulous inglenook fireplace with wood burner and bread oven, smart TV, to the left there is a snug with underfloor heating, Smart TV, Sonos speaker system and Alexa. Utility room with washing machine, tumble dryer, and ground floor toilet. An enclosed underfloor heated porch provides a cloakroom and boot room.
To the first floor there are 4 bedrooms. Jacks room with zip and link super kingsize bed and Smart TV , Blodwyn with zip and link super kingsize bed and Smart TV. The Granary with kingsize bed and day bed that converts into two single beds (for use by children only) and Smart TV, en-suite bathroom with walk-in shower, heated towel rails and heated mirrors. Mary’s room is a twin room with two single beds and Smart TV with en-suite bathroom with walk-in shower, heated towel rail and heated mirror. Family bathroom with freestanding bath, walk-in shower, two heated towel rails and heated mirror.
There is a games room, with table tennis, pool table, Smart TV and sofas.
There is an enclosed paddock with seating, there is also grazing available at the property for horses (please speak directly with owners). There is a children’s play area with swings, climbing frame and slide, various games and 2 large picnic tables.
Plenty of off-road parking in the courtyard to the front of the house. Picnic tables are provided by the side of the River Honddu which runs along the boundary of the farm, the river is not deep enough for wild swimming but good for paddling in on a hot summer’s day.
There are plenty of walks to be had straight from the property, a pathway which is a few yards from the property leads straight onto the Epynt Commons covering many thousands of acres and perfect for walkers, cyclists, and horse riders. The Epynt Way, a permissive path around the MOD Sennybridge Range, is nearby. For those cycling the hilly terrain makes this interesting and challenging. The owner’s family are keen cyclists and have provided lots of cycle routes in the area for all abilities.
