Summary: We stayed here for 11 nights with a last minute booking. A good base to explore the lake District with a friendly welcoming local pub with good home cooked food just down the road. The house space inside is very good as we had a 3 month old baby and a large dog and it was very comfortable. We found it to be very strict on dogs being in the house, as they are not allowed up stairs a stair gate would be a good purchase. Even though we feel if you purchase a cottage which is pet friendly this shouldnt be necessary. Wallpaper in the kitchen of the local area is fantastic! On the other hand the outside space needs a little modernisation to make the seating area more comfortable to eat at. As the property doesn't have a bath a great addition to the property and also the outside space would be a hot tub especially after walking the local area all day. Overall this is a lovely property, very clean and comfortable and would recommend to others
