Stay right on the border of Sydney's two trendiest suburbs and live like a local in one of the larger homes available on Airbnb. With 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms PLUS sunny office/sunroom larger groups and families will be comfortable.
The location doesn't get much better. Transport, great dining, shopping and Sydney's famous Centennial Park are all literally on your doorstep.
Better yet, the CBD and Sydney's famous beaches are only a bus trip away.
A stone’s throw from Sydney’s vibrant Surry Hills, Redfern, Waterloo and CBD this spacious, modern terrace has loads of character and features 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, and is perfect for groups of up to 7 people (the 7th is accommodated on the oversized lounge).
After a busy day exploring the many attractions nearby, there are many spaces in the home to relax. Kick back on the large leather lounge or enjoy a gourmet meal freshly prepared in the fully equipped kitchen, or enjoy an alfresco dinner in the courtyard. Alternatively, escape with a coffee to the upstairs library and enjoy reading in the sun.
The saying of "It's what's on the inside that counts" describes our home perfectly. On the outside it is quite strange looking, well actually downright ugly due to it's many past lives, but the interiors, as you can see from the photos have lots of character and are very homely. If you are after hotel perfect with ironed sheets and a pillow menu, then this home may not be suitable. While the house is kept clean and tidy, please note the home is not in show room condition. It is a 130 year old well lived in home.

For ALL DAY ALL WEEK FREE UN-TIMED parking there are a few spots just 3 minutes walk or many spots about 10-15 minute walk from the home if required.

An important note on insects in Sydney:
Visitors are often surprised at the large amount of insects in Australia and inner city Sydney, especially during the summer months. Be prepared to encounter many on your visit. Maybe adopt the "Aussie Wave" a well known movement to get rid of pesky flies. :-)
We have the home regulary in Summer but this generally only prevents crawling insects. This does not stop common flying insects such as mosquitoes, cockroaches, flies, and harmless non-toxic garden spiders that can get under the door or squeeze around door and window frames. I have supplied bug spray if required but be assured 99% are totally harmless.
Street Noise - While the home is surprisingly quiet for its central location, it is on a main road and in a vibrant area near restaurants and pubs. People wanting a whisper quiet setting should seek a house away from the city centre suburbs. The main bedroom, being at the front of the home, has the most noise, but it has a sunroom with a door that closes to soften the noise considerably. The middle room is the quietest with no window on a street and very peaceful.
Rubbish collection service is on Wednesday evening. I kindly ask guests if they are able to wheel the bins though the home to the front street later on Wednesday evening and bring in on Thursday morning.
Air conditioning: Is in the main living area and the main bedroom only.
There are ceiling fans in ALL bedrooms.
Security camera:
From guests protection There is a movement activated security camera that faces the street entry installed in the entry foyer. It does not face into the living area.
Photos: A couple of guests have noted that the home is much brighter in the photos than when actually in the home. The photos were all taken at midday (the brightest light though the front window) and with all the lights on so will not be representative of the home with no lights on at 4pm. Please bear that in mind.
INSURANCE: For peace of mind, we have changed from our standard domestic home and contents to a business insurance to sure our guests are FULLY COVERED. Most listings haven't checked their current policies and are possibly not covered. Check with the property prior to booking.
There are steep stairs in this house - therefore may not be suitable for persons with reduced mobility and unsupervised children.
If you are after hotel perfect. This home may not be suitable.
While the house is kept clean and tidy, please note the home is not in showroom condition. It is a 130 year old well lived in home. While I have had the home painted inside and out a year ago and new carpet, There will be a paint chips here and there and marks on the walls from guests luggage. The sheets won't be ironed either and being pure cotton wrinkle easily. But be assured, they are freshly laundered and clean and hygienic.
The cleaning fee covers one visit by professional cleaners BEFORE your stay to set up the home for your arrival. If you require an additional service, I can organise for $100 per visit and a linen change for $40.
