Summary: I had high hopes for this place, but we had a multitude of problems, some serious. The owner was not very sympathetic and then ignored emails. I would not return or recommend. The door between the lounge and dining room, jammed; and we were very very lucky an adult was on the other side, which allowed us to open the door or we would have been in trouble. This is a huge fire risk and meant we had to wedge the sofa bed against the door so it didn’t shut. The dining room area, was depressing and we used it very little. The kitchen was ok but the bathroom was literally off the kitchen, and that did make me feel unwell. The garden was totally unusable for a family; 2 gates that you could simply open, and the neighbours always in the garden making noises, meant as a family we did not want to go out there. The main tv was very hard to use, the remote was very temperamental and meant we struggled to get the tv to work. I enquired about the bedding for the sofa bed, and was told it would be there, it was found in a old musty cupboard, on the floor with a hoover on top! Disgusting ! I had to go out and buy new bedding! Upstairs the stairs were very unsafe, and the bedroom door didn’t shut. The main bathroom toilet seat was loose and dangerous. We also all got an allergy and the listing sayes no pets , but there were pet hairs on the rug downstairs. Would we stay there again, no. The owner was not particular pleasant when we explained the issues, and has since ignored emails.
