This is a beautiful three-bedroom cottage directly on Long Lake, one of Michigan's best lakes for fishing and boating.
Enjoy a private dock and swim in the crystal clear lake water. Use the mooring for your boat - there is a public launch just across the lake. There is a canoe for you to use. Long Lake has five islands that you can paddle to and explore. You can watch the sun set from the dock.
The house has three bedrooms (sleeps 6) and a common room with an open floor plan. There is an office and a deck that looks over the lake. The house has excellent wi-fi and a smart TV.
Summer Lark is a quiet house set back in the woods and surrounded by trees. It is just 15 minutes from downtown Traverse City and all its activities.
You can walk through the woods to the Timbers Recreation Area and enjoy lovely hikes. It is just a short drive to Interlochen, Leland and Sleeping Bear Dunes.
Main level: Master bedroom (king bed), kitchen/dining/living room, office, full bathroom and deck.
Lower level: Second bedroom (queen bed) and third bedroom (three twin beds). Full bathroom.
We welcome pets, too.
Please note there are about five steps to get to the house, and then a much longer set of steps to get down to the dock. The house is directly on Long Lake and you can see the lake through the trees.

Summary: We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Summer Lark. The lake and surrounding woods were quiet and beautiful. The cabin was cozy, tidy, and the kitchen was well equipped. There were plenty of towels, blankets, and pillows for all of the rooms. There were also fans in all of the rooms which was much appreciated since there was no AC. The cabin was very conveniently located to Traverse City as well as shopping and other amenities. We particularly enjoyed visiting Moomers ice cream shop and the local market just down the road! Overall a wonderful stay and family vacation in a beautiful spot!
