Summary: I was under the impression that this hotel was a 5 star facility but it is absolutely not. It has a lovely lobby and the pre-check-in experience was fine but when I arrived, there was no one around except someone who looked like he didn't even work there. No one came to the door to help with bags, and there was no doorman even though the main wooden doors are extremely heavy to open. The person behind the reception barely looked up, offered zero assistance, and provided no information at all about the hotel or the neighbourhood. He just handed over a key and pointed to the elevator. The room was large and lovely but that was really the only good thing about the inside of the hotel. The bar closed early (8:45 was last call!) and there was no ambiance to speak of - it was like an empty shell, sparsely staffed and devoid of guests. Very odd. Like I was completely alone there. Definitely not worth the money. Even the convenience of its location cannot make up for a totally lacklustre experience.
